Canyon View High School hosted the highly anticipated annual Agua Fria High School District Arts Showcase on March 1, bringing together the district’s most talented students to celebrate the creative arts.

Agua Fria High School District is at the forefront of artificial intelligence (AI) integration in education through its new partnership with OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

Agua Fria High School District is now three years into its10-year strategic plan, guided by the organization’s vision of “Creating Choice, Crafting, Character, and Cultivating Community.”

The Agua Fria High School District proudly hosted a
successful College and Career Fair on September 26th, 2024, at Verrado High School. The
event invited eager students and families from across the district seeking guidance on future
career paths, educational opportunities, and post-high school endeavors.

At the January 15, Governing Board meeting, the Agua Fria High School District swore in two new members, Corby Naylor and Sarah Silk, each bringing extensive educational expertise and community involvement to the Board. The Board also appointed its 2025 leadership team, electing Kristen Acton as President and Vickie Landis as Vice President.

On December 4, the City of Avondale, in partnership with Agua Fria High School and Smithcraft Signage, officially unveiled the new gateway monument sign at the cross between Dysart Road and MC 85. This landmark commemorates the partnership, hard work, and enduring legacy of the Avondale community.

The Agua Fria High School Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) and the Agua Fria High School District came together to host 4th annual Veterans Day Breakfast, honoring Veterans from all stages of life for their service. 

 At Agua Fria High School District, safety and security are not just priorities—they are the foundation on which student success is built. 

The cities of Avondale, Buckeye, Goodyear, and Litchfield Park are coming together on October 17th, 2024 at Palm Valley Golf Club for Agua Fria High School District’s third annual Hall of Fame event. The event will honor five outstanding individuals for their dedication, service, and lasting positive impact on the Southwest Valley. These honorees embody the Spirit of the Southwest Valley.

The Agua Fria High School District proudly celebrates the success of Senior to Senior, an initiative launched in 2022 to build intergenerational relationships between high school seniors and senior citizens. The program aims to create an environment of mutual respect, learning, and joyful interaction.
